Hàng triệu cánh tay triệu trái tim hồng

Hừng hực lửa lên đường đi giữ nước,

Chúng ta quyết noi gương người thuở trước

Lấy máu đào để tô thắm non sông

 

Già trẻ gái trai cương quyết một lòng

Thì tấc biển chẳng rơi vào tay giặc

Hỡi chúng bay bọn giặc thù phương Bắc

Hãy nghe đây tiếng thét buổi lên đường

 

Lớp lớp người đi giành lại Quê Hương

Thì biển lớn là mồ chôn xác giặc

Chúng ta sống cho sơn hà xã tắc

Làm sao quên hào khí hội Diên Hồng.

 

Một giải Sơn Hà trời biển mênh mông

Là xương máu cha ông ta để lại

Đêm thao thức nghe hồn Sông Núi gọi

Lên đường đi Tổ Quốc đợi chờ ta...

 

Lên đường đi để gìn giữ Sơn Hà

Tô đậm nét ngàn thu trang sử Việt

Hào khí Triệu Trưng một thời oanh liệt

Đã bao phen làm khiếp vía quân thù

 

Bạch Đằng lưu dấu ngàn thu

Đống Đa phơi xác giặc thù xâm lăng

 

 

Our Motherland

Asking Us To Depart...

With millions of our arms,

millions of our ardent hearts,

And with our so burning enthusiasm

for departing to defend our country,

We are resolutely determined to follow

the examples of our predecessors in the past,

To use our fresh bloods to vividly

embellish our nation.

 

Of all of us both young or old men and women

unanimously have our solid unity,

Then an inch of our sea will never be lost to our enemy.

Hey! All foreign aggressors from the North!

Try to hear carefully our angry loud

shouts upon our departing to fight!

 

Of all of us ounce wave of fighters

after another

Keep going forward to regain some

parts of our country already lost to

our enemy,

Then, our large seas will be deep

graves to bury our enemy corpses

We have to live on

for our country's cause.

How can we forget the so heroic

atmosphere of Dien-Hong

conference, now?

 

Our present long mountain-ranges, large rivers, immense skies and seas,

Undoubtedly, are the blood and bone heritage left to us by our ancestors

During restless nights, we have heard the appeals of our country's soul,

Let's go fighting because our motherland is waiting for us...

 

Let's go protecting our mountain and river land

In order to solidify the everlasting heroism in any page of our Vietnamese history book.

The so high moral of our people during the glorious times of our two national heroines Trung and Trieu

Had for times frightened our enemy's spirits

 

The White-way river has left in eternal traces,

The Dong-Da battlefied is where myriads of our aggressor's corpses were laid exposed under the sun in the past!
